"Bryce Eliot Kemble was born on July 4 at 10:39 a.m. He weighed in at 8 pounds, 8 1/2 ounces and is 22 1/12 inches long. He's a wonderful boy so far and even Graden seems to think that his little brother is ok, though he'd rather be playing with his fleet of fire engines."

The Spackman Family

Molly Spackman is in the transition phase of labor, the most intense phase, relaxing between contractions in deluxe warm water pool comforted and supported by her husband Scott. The "aquadoula ducky" is keeping a close eye on this labor.

Molly and Scott Spackman hold their newborn son, Julian on January 4, 2004 immediately after his birth in water. Healthy newborns will not breathe until their skin is in contact with air. Remember unborn babies live in a water environment.

The Spackman's second child was also born at home on August 9th, 2005 in Camptonville. Ava Cassidy weighed 9lb 1/2 oz.

The Maslov / Kawa Family

Sarah Maslov relaxes late in labor in a deluxe labor tub supported by her partner Michael Kawa. We encourage the availability of warm water immersion for labor comfort especially with first babies. Sarah gave birth on our specialized birthing chair.

Vanita helps Beth Reyes birth her baby's shoulders. Beth was on a birth stool but needed help delivering her baby's shoulders. Beth gave birth at a local bed and breakfast because she lived so far out of town.

This woman gives birth standing to a 6lb.11oz. baby. Her husband's arms are encircling her back. Notice her intact perineum. A few minutes after the birth this woman shouted, "That was great, that was great," as she stood holding her first child.

Our labor/birth tubs
|
This is a 300 gallon, heated deluxe portable spa developed specifically for labor and waterbirth. It is soft, yet sturdy, and comfortably accommodates two people. Ideal for first labors.
Our tub supplied with hot water filling-only hose, personal plastic liner, water filled booster seat, floating thermometer, submersible drainage pump, tub cover, underwater mirror and light, debris net and a Aquadoula ducky with sunglasses! Need separate drain hose.
We rent this tub for $225.

The inflatable birthing pool is made of extra thick PVC (0.38mm), and is a two person design, 100 gallon tub. No heater. Ideal if a shorter labor is expected.
It measures:
External: 65" long (165cm), 53" wide (135cm), and 25" deep (65cm) Internal: 45" long (115cm), 37" wide (95cm)
Comes with electric air pump or footpump, non -toxic filling hose, debris net. Need another hose for draining.

Sunshine, our former birth and office assistant, labors in our Basic Oval Tub made by Rubbermaid. It is a 100 gallon one woman tub. It can be reheated in labor by draining off some water and adding more hot water.
Both our basic tubs have been adapted with drainage faucets and includes a warm water-filled booster seat and water-quality filling-only non-toxic hose. Need separate hose for draining.
